Uniquely trained in Gestalt and Humanistic approaches, Peter provides highly creative ideographically approaches to Sport Psychology consultancy. Having achieved a BSc in Sports Science (2004) and an MSc in Sport Psychology (2005) both from Brunel University, Peter brings a strong academic background to his work. During his studies Peter, through researching anticipatory skill in tennis, advanced his thesis with a peer reviewed journal, lead by his supervisor Dr. Robin Jackson. Through his academic research Peter was a keen tennis player, leading his University team to division promotion in 2004.
During his MSc Peter coached and through encouraging players to take charge of their styles of game and decision making skills he achieved great success. In both the UK and USA Peter worked extensively with juniors and adults to help each player move in the right direction to achieve their goals in tennis.
Peter began his BASES accreditation in 2008 upon his return from the US. Through 3 years of intensive rigorous CPD Peter has diligently enhanced his ability to provide effective psychological support. With his distinctive skills Peter challenges the attitudes, perceptions, and beliefs of athletes', amateur right to elite. Peter's creative, innovative approaches have been effectively applied in a wide variety of sports settings with many athletes and coaches including, Elite School Sports Academies, International High Performance Tennis players and coaches, Satellite Performance Tennis Centers, National and International Athletics, Judo, swimming and weight-lifting.
Peter is in the final stages of completing his BASES accreditation and offers a bespoke consultancy service to all clients.
He looks forward to helping both children and adults achieve more in their chosen area of performance.
