about Sharon

I strongly believe in treating each and every client as an individual, and I take into account your lifestyle, sports requirements, and environment. My treatments are always tailored to your individual needs and your well-being is my primary concern.

I also work at a boot camp which has enabled me to meet and treat a lot of people from all over the world including famous people including Miss Alexandra Burke. There are 1000,s of people suffering from muscular injuries and problems, not just sports related but, often, caused by moving at an odd angle, sitting incorrectly at a desk or working muscles excessively when not used to it. Simply carrying shopping or re-decorating your home can cause such problems.

Massage could cure or at least ease them amazingly quickly and if followed up with maintenance sessions may never recur.

You do not have to be an athlete or competing in competitions to receive a sports massage! It is my belief that everyone can benefit.

testimonials:

Luigi Tedesco wrote: The experience of having deep tissue massages with you has been unprecedented and extraordinary. I came with a back and a body falling apart and I feel I am 10 years younger. The work you have done on my back and on my calf has achieved results that not even in my 2 years in China I was able to experience. Thank you so much for all of this. And, as I told you, my final advice is for you to move to London so that I can continue experiencing this magic. Luigi.

Jennie Archer wrote Sharon is without doubt the best massage therapist I know. Her depth of knowledge and expertise allow her to get right to the source of the problem and her thorough, effective techniques help to ease pain and relieve deep seated tension and knots. After a deep tissue massage with Sharon you feel restored, revitalised and so much more mobile. I thoroughly recommend Sharon to anyone who is suffering from back, neck or shoulder pain – you will not be disappointed.

sports massage and bodywork

Sports massage was originally developed to help athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a big event, or function well during training. Sports massage emphasizes prevention and healing of injuries to the muscles and tendons.

But you don't have to be in the Olympics to benefit from sports massage! Sports massage is also good for people with injuries, chronic pain or restricted range of motion.

Sports massage stimulates circulation of blood and lymph fluids. I also use other massage movements to break down adhesions (knots in the muscles) and increase range of motion. I incorporate remedial massage, myofacsial release and Swedish massage into my treatments, depending on need.

I offer restorative sports massage during training to allow you to train harder and with less injury and rehabilitative sports massage which is aimed at alleviating pain due to injury or strain, returning the body to health.

Massage up to 45 minutes before and within an hour or two after a big event can also help to prevent or alleviate injury.

what to expect

I will ask you a few questions about your health and medical history and any concerns that you may have. The exception to this is Myofacial release, when I take a body reading on the first visit to distinguish the overall posture of the body and medical history and any concerns which you may have.

For a full body massage they are generally  an hour in length, the other treatments vary from 40 minutes upwards depending on what treatment you have and how long you would like the treatment for.
Please do call me for more information or if you have specific questions about how I can help.
